My wife and I spent Sunday afternoon watching television. We were amazed as a showbiz program featured the formerly macho Rustom Padilla transforms into Bebe Gandanghari, a gay personality.
Perhaps, out of ridicule, we laughed ourselves silly. Padilla’s twist of character will always be a precedent action for those who cannot hold on to masculinity. I would like to stress that I could not be definitive on the explanation why more and urban gays fill the streets. The succeeding anecdote can only be theoretical and entertaining in motive. Because of limited pastureland, the herd shares the same confined field. Female calves, cows and mature bulls live on the same ranch. It would be impractical to separate the herd by age and sex. By nature, bulls want to breed all the time. Cows, on the other hand, wait for estrus, a regular period of sexual excitement in many female mammals, during which the animals seek to mate. Sexual heat for cows usually comes 18-24 months from birth. Bulls, seeking unrestrained sexual activities, attack the young that do not give in to the former’s orgy, as the latter have not experienced estrus. Bulls could be violent if female calves are not sexually receptive. Mortality rate on wounds and injuries among the calves is high when calves are not fertile and not ready to mate. To prevent this, ranchers inject a synthetic hormone that impedes sexual stimulation of bulls. This hormone is supposedly used only for female cows. Sex glands of bulls are attacked and secretion of testosterone is stopped. The bulls are now harmless to the young female calves. By regulation, ranch owners should not butcher treated bulls until the lapse of six months on which the hormones will expire and lose potency. Other countries have even banned the use of that type of hormones on cattle. But when sudden demand for beef rises, ranchers, who usually raise cattle for their meat, are tempted to slaughter bulls, including the treated ones, to answer market demand. Unfortunately, the hormone would affect human beings, particularly the male. If the male human happens to eat the meat, he loses interest on the opposite sex. On his viewpoint, male and female becomes equally stimulating. When the feministic tendency of the supposed male victim is stimulated, the male now feels like a woman. Thus, the male becomes attracted to fellow males. And it is dreadful that the same hormone can be transmitted through the saliva. How miserable we can be if we happen to eat treated beef in burgers and steaks! What could anyone do if he happened to consume the hormones and unknowingly transformed his psychological nature slowly? Nevertheless, as I have said, the preceding theory is baseless. It is unbelievable to link eating treated beef with homosexuality among males. But with enough opportunity, any concerned individual would love to do research and experiment. At any rate, we should be careful of what we eat. It’s best to avoid harmful preservatives and to buy only from trusted suppliers. (nmbdablo@yahoo.com) Last update: 21-01-2009 22:34
