President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s holiday economics is benefitting this city’s tourism sector.

Baguio Country Club General Manager Anthony de Leon, who is also the President of the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB), said Baguio City’s tourism sector is “on the road to recovery” after typhoon “Pepeng” hit the city and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), thanks to the President’s holiday economics.

PGMA declares national day of mourning for the Maguindanao massacre victims

Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita on Wednesday said that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo declared the national day of mourning for the victims of Maguindanao massacre. The declaration was made three days after the violent incident wherein at least 46 individuals, including media men, were brutally killed on Monday at Sitio Masalay, Barangay Salman, Ampatuan, Maguindanao.
