100 institutions across Zamboanga del Sur cooperate with one another to establish giant Christmas symbols, decors, lights, belen, lanterns and arches at the Provincial Government Center as attractions for the Pasko Nato 2008 celebration in Dao.

As Pasko Nato 2008 opens on December 12, Provincial Tourism Officer Anthony Frederick “Taton” Padayhag reveals that the Cerilles Administration has successfully tied up several organizations and institutions to make up the Agri-Heritage tourism Complex into colorful and lively destination during the Christmas season.

By way of contests, the AHC attraction include 27 Christmas décors can be seen at the 27 LGU booths; 16 lighted trees by16 campuses of the JH Cerilles State College; 11 sets of lanterns made of indigenous materials queue along the streets of 11 puroks in Brgy. Dao.  

The Regional Offices which are now in the city fused one another to make 10 dazzling Christmas symbols; 6 sectors such as Zamsureco-I, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers - Zambosur chapter, Zambosur Gov’t. Employees Association, Greater Pagadian Jaycees and Cooperative Bank of Zamboanga del Sur make their respective belens, while the 6 QUALCIs of DepEd Zambosur Division set up 6 Christmas arches spread at the strategic locations within the complex.

Pasko Nato 2008 is the 2nd Zambosur Christmas Festival spearheaded by the Cerilles Administration which give the opportunity to all Zambosurians all over the province to enjoy the Christmas season while they visit Provincial Government Center.

Padayhag cited that for so long, Zambosurians had to go to Tangub City to witness their Christmas symbols.  But with the Pasko Nato at AHC, he said: “I think its time for the people from Tangub and other neighboring towns in Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte and Zamboanga Sibugay to come and view our Christmas Festival here in Dao.

For the Zambosurians, Governor Auring E. Cerilles wants to imprint to them the impression that the Provincial Government Center is the current tourism site in the province, the source pointed out.
