Pagadian City – A police officer suffered serious wounds as one of two men riding a motorcycle fired shots at the victim in Brgy. San Francisco, this city, Tuesday morning. Authorities at Pagadian City Police Station identified the victim as PO3 Dexter Dalina of the 905th Provincial Mobile Group based in Camp Abelon. Police said the suspects were identified as a certain Norhan Amil aka Kumander Ramsey and one identified as Omair Cadingilan. Initial investigations revealed Dalina, together with a private security guard Ronald Edo, were riding a motorcycle, headed for Camp Abelon, passing along Sagun Street. The suspects, on board a black Yamaha DT, were traveling at the opposite direction. Seconds after passing point, the suspects u-turned and tailed behind the victims.
Armed with caliber .45 pistol, Ramsey allegedly fired two shots at the victims. Dalina, who was driving the motorcycle, was hit twice, one at the back of the head and another at the left chest. Luckily, the bullets did not hit Edo. After the incident, the suspects fled. Dalina was rushed to Pagadian City Medical Center for treatment. At the crime scene, two spent shells of caliber .45 pistol were recovered by investigators. Police elements are now hunting the suspects as appropriate charges are now filed in court.
